On 27^th February over one hundred and thirty former students attended the Concord reunion held at the college. Many who came back were recent leavers, but there were some faces from the more distant past (all the way back to 2003!). Many were currently UK based but two young ladies returned from Spain and one young man had flown all the way from Singapore.

The Alumni were treated to a welcome tea on arrival before the main entertainment of the evening commenced. A formal dinner in the dining room with speeches was followed by fireworks outside by the castle and a disco with a light show in the indoor marquee in the Sports Hall completed the evening.

Representatives of all the years spoke at the gathering including the Head Boys and Head Girls from 2008 and 2009 (Julian Ma & Eva Lau and Sanjay Chandran & Chipo Mwanawasa). Sanjay said that it felt like ‘coming home’ when he arrived back and they all reflected on the strong friendships that they had made whilst at Concord.

It was a lovely event and fantastic to see so many familiar faces and to hear of all the news of life after Concord. Tales of the hard work that is expected of them and the accommodation not being up to the standard that they were used to at Concord were common! It was good to see the alumni mixing with the current students, reminiscing about the good times they had shared. We look forward to seeing them all again soon.
