Students at Concord College are expected to aim for the highest academic standards.  They are encouraged to develop a strong sense of personal responsibility in their approach to study.  Students are self-motivated and are also encouraged to support each other.  Teachers and Tutors guide the students and the entire culture of the College is directed towards this end.

Students are prepared for either GCSE or A level courses.  Both are generally studied as two year courses.  Students are expected to score the highest grades at both levels.  We also expect students to develop the ability to reason independently and to communicate their intellectual independence effectively.

The College has a strong record of students entering top universities.  Many former Concord students are currently studying at Oxford and Cambridge, as well as at the London School of Economics and Imperial College London.  Concord also regularly places a large number of students at UK medical schools.

In addition to academic study, students are given the opportunity to develop their skills and confidence in a wide range of settings. Sport, music, societies, dance and drama are all important aspects of College life.  Students also make friendships with their classmates.  These friendships help to develop confidence and give an extra layer of support. Friendships made at the College often last for many years after the students leave: in some cases these friendships have lasted a lifetime.
