Sean in Top 20 in National Economics Competition
Concord student Sean Lim has been placed in the top 20 of a national essay competition run by the Institute of Economic Affairs. He completed the 1,400 word essay on the theme of poverty in less than two weeks. He also wrote two supplementary essays of 500 words each.
Winners at Shropshire Festival
Two students from Concord were medal winners at the 2016 Shropshire Festival of Verse and Prose. Lucy Hampton (6.1) won the public speaking for Years 12 and 13 with a Sonnet by William Shakespeare.
Concord Runners Raise over £64 000 for Unicef
Forty-seven runners from Concord, including the Principal Mr. Neil Hawkins, have raised more than £64,000 for Unicef following the London Royal Parks half marathon.

Law Seminar for Concord's Prospective Lawyers
Concord students were treated to a glimpse into the world of Law at university when two of the UK’s leading academics visited Concord recently to deliver a seminar. Professor Alastair Mullis, Head of the School of Law at Leeds University, and Dr Jen Hendry, Lecturer in Jurisprudence, spoke to budding lawyers in Form 5 and the sixth form.
