Kari takes the lead at Concord Summer Courses
Concord is delighted to welcome Kari Butler as the new Summer Course Lead Manager. Kari, who has been connected with summer schools at Concord since 2003 will take charge of the summer courses which will be held in July and August and will head a management team of six supported by more than 60 staff.
Retirement after a Half Century in Teaching
Maths teacher Mr Ernie Marsh has just clocked up two half centuries. He has completed 50 years in teaching and is celebrating his golden wedding. Now, Mr Marsh has announced his retirement from Concord College where he has taught for a total of 26 years.
Concord's Head of Physics Retires
Staff and students said goodbye to Head of Physics Nick Blake who retired at the end of term. He has been Head of Physics at Concord for five of the seven years he has taught the subject at the school.
Graduation Ball 2016
Live streaming over the internet of the presentation ceremony at Concord’s eighth annual Graduation Ball was watched by 258 viewers in 24 countries – including 25 towns and cities across the UK. As is the tradition at Concord, this was the last formal occasion for the senior students, before they leave the college and embark upon the next stage of their education.
Medals for Lower School Mathematicians
Two Lower School students from Concord have won medals and gold certificates which has put them in the country’s top 100 mathematicians in their age group. Gold went to Form 5 student Reynold Fan and bronze to Jina Kim, who is in Form 3.
