Alumni Yumi Brings Group from Japan to Summer School
Japanese model agency boss Yumi Kawano has never forgotten the two years she spent at Concord where she took her A levels. Last year she returned for a visit to Acton Burnell so that she could show her three children where she studied. On returning to her home in Miyazaki she decided she would try and obtain sponsorship to bring a party of students on one of the Concord’s summer courses.
Record Breaking A Level Results
Concord College is delighted to announce another outstanding set of A level results this year. Over 40% of grades awarded to candidates were A* with a total of 255 A* grades being awarded overall; while 78% of grades awarded were A* or A grade. Most impressively perhaps, Concord broke its own record of last year with 96% of grades either A*, A or B.
Kate's Summer School Scholarship
Russian student Ekaterina (Kate) Vlasova is attending the August summer course at Concord on a full scholarship where she is enjoying improving her English and taking part in a variety of enrichment activities.
Following in his Father's Footsteps
A son followed in his father’s footsteps and attended Concord College for a summer school.Mateo Alum Martinez-Osonia’s father Jorge was a student at Concord’s summer courses from 1979-1989.
Youngest Student Attends Summer Course with her Grandmother!
At the age of seven, Italian student Sophia Internullo is the youngest-ever child on a summer course at Concord. And although two years younger than the other youngest students, she has a particular reason for attending this summer – she is with her grandmother.
