Medals for Lower School Mathematicians
Two Lower School students from Concord have won medals and gold certificates which has put them in the country’s top 100 mathematicians in their age group. Gold went to Form 5 student Reynold Fan and bronze to Jina Kim, who is in Form 3.
Swimming Gala 2016
The Summer term’s sporting calendar at Concord culminated with the Inter- house Swimming Gala. A large crowd gathered to cheer on the competitors and to support the teams in the final event of the Inter-house competition this year. With the overall standings for the Inter- house trophy so close, all four teams were keen to put in a strong performance in the gala.
Concord Student in the Public Eye for Public Speaking
Concord student Lottie Cansdale is very much in the public eye – for her public speaking. Shropshire Star feature writer Shirley Tart visited Concord to personally to interview day student Lottie about her public speaking success.
Sports Day 2016
The annual Sports Day at Concord took place earlier in the term on one of the coldest days in April since records began! However the four teams bravely battled the elements in a range of events on the track and in the field. With the points in the Inter-house competition so close, it was vital that the four houses put in strong performances to keep them in contention in the overall House trophy competition.
Concord Student Breaks Rubik Cube Record
A Concord student is breaking records – in Rubik Cube competitions. And for one of them he was blindfolded! Sixth form student Ainesh Sevellaraja who is studying for A levels at Concord has just competed in the World Cube Association North London Open Competition where he broke 5 national records.
